Born in Jersey and raised in Spain, Joshua Lind began studying cello with Enrique Vidal Mart\u00ednez. During his early musical education, he also explored other instruments, including the tuba. After completing his studies at the Conservatorio Profesional de M\u00fasica Ana Mar\u00eda S\u00e1nchez, he was accepted into the Conservatorio Superior de M\u00fasica de Murcia \u201cManuel Massotti Littel\u201d, where he earned his Bachelor\u2019s degree under the guidance of David Apell\u00e1niz.<\/p>

Throughout his studies, he participated in various international festivals such as the Acad\u00e9mie-Festival Les Arcs, the MusicAlp International Music Academy and the Festival Internacional de Panticosa. These opportunities allowed him to work with renowned cellists including Xavier Gagnepain, Fernando Arias, and Pavel Gomziakov.<\/p>

He went on to pursue a Master\u2019s degree at Codarts University for the Arts in Rotterdam, studying with Herre-Jan Stegenga and Joachim Eijlander. Also, receiving masterclasses with renowned cellists such as Jakob Koranyi, Leonid Gorokhov, Pieter Wispelwey.<\/p>

As an orchestral musician, Joshua Lind has performed with numerous ensembles in both Spain and the Netherlands. He is currently principal cellist of the Harmonix Orchestra and has served as principal cellist in several Codarts projects. In Spain, he has played with the Orquesta de J\u00f3venes de la Regi\u00f3n de Murcia (as principal cellist), the Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica del Teatro Castelar, and the Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica de Torrevieja, where he made his solo debut performing the Elgar Cello Concerto.<\/p>

Alongside his orchestral work, he is a member of the Zinnia String Quartet, formed during his time at Codarts. The quartet is currently part of the Dutch String Quartet Academy (NSKA), receiving mentorship from esteemed musicians such as Marc Danel, Luc-Marie Aguera, Denis Brott, Gordan Nikolic, and Gijs Kramers. He is also a member of the Tacora Cello Quartet, based at the Batavierhuis in Rotterdam, where they focus more on folk music playing their own arrangement of pieces and traditional songs from around the world.<\/p>
